Job Description

Applicants for the position should have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Working knowledge of CPA firm practice management software a plus
  • Proficient with Excel and Word
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters and QuickBooks software a significant plus


Clerical Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of business and individual income tax returns
  • Document scanning into digital filing system
  • Coordination of mail distribution procedures
  • General word processing and spreadsheet assignments
  • Preparation of client invoices and related procedures
  • Corporate website and social media administration
  • Occasional telephone operator and receptionist duties


Recordkeeping and Other Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance and custodial operations
  • Preparation of bank deposits
  • Maintenance of accounts payable files
  • Coordination of electronic filing of tax returns
  • Interaction with trade vendors as required
  • Coordination and scheduling of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses for professional staff
